The beautiful village of Abbotsbury - home to many artists, craftspeople and galleries - is situated in West Dorset, on the B3157, midway between Bridport and Weymouth.

Normal opening times for most Abbotsbury art galleries are from 10.00am to 5.00pm every day, but please check with the relevant galleries, before making a special journey to our village.

Many of these artists and craftspeople will be exhibiting during Dorset Art Weeks 2010 (May 29th to June 13th).

 

John Meaker, Abbotsbury Studio

John Meaker is an artist well-known throughout Dorset, both for his own paintings and for the classes which he regularly runs from Sherborne and Bridport and in his studio in Abbotsbury.

Graham V. Bundy Gallery

Graham owns and operates the Gallery, in which you will find his 'Photograph Images of Dorset', many of which have been published. Upstairs in the Gallery, works by other artists can be found on display. A new artist will be featured each month.

The Artemisia Gallery

The Gallery is run by Rob Walpole who is also a well-known picture framer, working with artists from all over the county and beyond, at his Abbotsbury Pictures workshop beside the Gallery. He will be hosting the work of two artists, Margaret Sones (www.maggiesones.be) and Lucy Best.
